Do you know that God has a plan for your life? Collectively, our plan involves worshipping the Lord with all that we are and bringing Him glory, but God also gets specific with each of us. God has a specific plan for you, just as He has a specific plan for me!
We see this throughout the pages of God’s Word. It is not coincidence or chance. It was God’s plan for Noah to build the ark – and he followed in obedience. It was God’s plan for Abraham to be made into a great nation – and he followed in obedience. It was God’s plan for David to serve the people as king – and he followed in obedience. God’s plan led Daniel to the den of lions. God’s plan caused a virgin to give birth to the Savior. God’s plan called out the disciples. God’s plan led the spotless lamb, Jesus, to the cross to pay the debt of sinners.
God’s plan is perfect! We can see from the pages of Scripture that oftentimes God’s plan leads people to places and through circumstances that they may not choose for themselves. It was hard work to build an ark and troubling to see the world destroyed. Daniel knew the power of the lions. The disciples left all they had ever known. Jesus suffered the wrath of God that only he could satisfy. But through it all we see men and women who followed God in faithful obedience.
So, what is God’s plan for your life? Are you following in faithful obedience? This Christmas season, as we remember an aspect of God’s perfect plan unfolding in the coming of the Christ Child, let us be sure to remember that God has a specific plan for each of us. May we follow Him – committed to faithful obedience of following our Father in Heaven.
Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart. Psalm 119:2, ESV
May it be so! May we Behold the King of kings & Lord of lords and be captivated by His glory, and...
May the LORD bless & lead us as we seek Him.
Friendly. Faithful. Focused. For the Glory of the LORD!
